Integrating Research Into My work

I think that the most productive way to bring my research into my work is to start producing my work around my research. In terms of big picture, I have been taking steps in recording video, and script writing, and I have also been applying to grants for funding to help bring certain aspects of the project together. Now I need to stop thinking big picture and make some progress with my theme and how I am communicating it.

I think the first concept that I will play with is meditation. perhaps group meditation or individual meditation. Whichever it is, I will record it from both first person and third person perspectives. That can happen some time this weekend.

In the same spirit of stepping away from my current method, I think that i would like to explore a bit through painting. One of the references that I found talked about the effects of color on perception and emotion. So I think I will do a series of paintings to help find some color palettes that interest me. That can happen over the course of the next couple weeks in my studio. I think 6 possible palettes that convey specific emotions and prompt specified empathy would be a good goal, all by next Thursday.

So by next week, expect to see photos of 6 different pieces, and a reflection on what the meditation brings me.
